Maris Practice News - Autumn 2008

Hello from us all at The Practice as we all return to routine after the summer (or was that winter?!)..

Breaking news: Our exciting news is that Jules Lowe is having her second baby in December. She will be going on maternity leave @ the end of October and we are happy to have Sarah Coutts (BSc Ost) joining us as a locum for Mondays and working Saturday mornings too. Hannah, Tom and Mary-Jane are all increasing their hours to cover Jules’ time away.

And some old news: Mary-Jane continues to work at a children’s clinic for “metoo&co”, an organisation for children with any additional need and their families. Other osteopaths from the area, and Hannah Cleaver from our osteopathic team, work there too. Look at their website for more information, particularly about coming fundraising events and the activities of this wonderful organisation.

Richard Reid – psychotherapist continues to develop a thriving practice with us and will come in when needed.

ALSO: Carmen O’Connor (masseur) can also come in when needed – wonderful relaxing therapy!

We continue a happily and mutually beneficial link with Chris St John Smith – Pilates teacher – who comes to work with some children with neurological injuries at the practice. Contact Chris via his website – chris@pilatesrevolution.co.uk

Our approach: We continue to work with people of all ages - from 0 to ! - and treat a wide range of conditions from colic, to sports injuries, from back ache to migraine, and from allergies to menopausal problems etc…  always working with your health as an individual, rather than a body with a complaint.
We will also be running a series of seminars later this year about each of our therapies – watch out for advertised dates..

Art for art’s sake!

Our new art show goes up in November  featuring the work of Sheila Reid and Laurence Cadogan The “Private View” is on Thursday 20th November, 7.00 – 9.00p.m, with wine and nibbles! Do please come along  - the open evenings have proved to be wonderful occasions where you can meet the artist, chat to us about what we do and enjoy time with your friends.

Phones, cars…
We still have to operate from the answer phone service at times, but hope that this doesn’t inconvenience you. Please don’t be put off by it as we all listen and respond to messages regularly throughout the days.

On another practical note – please ask us about parking if you are having difficulties – we hold permits for the street if there is no space in the mews –see our parking map for restrictions and availability.
